They tell us whom to expect, and approximately when to expect him, but they stop short of telling us what the result of the arrival is expected to be. They, like other Carnival Barkers, want us to fill in that part from our own imagination. So, when the arrival occurs, they can rightfully claim that they never promised that things would be better...just different. They never promise that Paul will last longer than three minutes...that he will be able to help Leora cum. They never want to talk much about Pauls' military status and role. Best not to promise too much. Better to just wait and attack any post that run counter to their narrative. It helps keep the forum fun to watch and diverts attention away from the quality of the programming. 4 2
