Admin Posted September 16, 2014 Share Posted September 16, 2014 I've seen several comments suggesting that people would like to see better moderation of topics particularly when it comes to verbal abuse. Do you think we need more mods or perhaps stricter rules? My philosophy has been to stay hands off and let users decided how to direct the conversation, aside from spam and illegal content I rarely remove anything. What do you think? stash Posted September 16, 2014 Share Posted September 16, 2014 I mostly read CC for RLC, and what I don't like is the constant abuse that some of RLC tenants receive but because it's really a very small number of people responsible of this sort of abusing I am not sure clamping down it is worth the effort. Yes it is a small number usually the noobs. We Older more mature members get a long real well and can joke with each other without going full nuts. As for the complaints you have received I am willing to bet that they were made by those that disagreed with someone comments and tried to chew a strip off of them but alas came of second best. I really do not see why some people want everyone else to think and feel the same way that they do!!! This robs the one thing that sets us all apart INDIVIDUALITY or would they all like us to become robots? As for you Pepe I really think that that was a low blow by mentioning the word "nuts" in your post as you of all people should know that the mere mentioning of that word is going to get Mr Foamy all hot and bothered causing him to bail for his den to check if anyone has been raiding is stash that he has been collecting or if they are referring to some yet to be discovered stash which will leave him with sleepless nights fantasizing about the size of the potential haul!! Most of the bashing you see is directed towards people who don't read other threads to find information that they are looking for or those who create stupid useless topics about everything. We have a good many intellectual people on the forum who enjoy discussing a wide range of topics as well as discussing the varying merits of each couple and their sexual exploits. The knob heads without the intellect usually come and go once they realise RLC is not a porn site and CC is more than their intelligence can cope with! So far the self-policing can get a bit rambunctious at times, but usually we all want to keep the forum fun, and you've done a good job of banning spammers when we've reported them. Keep as is. I don't much like personal attacks on RLC tenants or CamCaps members when done by outside hostile trolls, but it comes with the territory, and most of us understand the importance of tolerance. I'll bet that Woody and I are at the top of that moderation list too. We simply call it like we see it. Pudley said it best. Don't like it? Leave.
