To me, saying thanks and hitting the like (heart) icon is the same thing. The "You can thank me now" tag is a take-off from the Verizon commercials (here in the USA) where the dude says "Can you hear me now?'.

IMO, RLC headquarters gave many of the girls a "tutorial" on how best to attract viewership. Lately, many have been more of an exhibitionist then usual.
