I do think there is a cultural difference in Russia. As I have said before modern men are few and far between in Russia. Men rule the roost and women look after their men. It is very common all over Europe to have the washing machine in the bathroom. Bathrooms tend to be bigger in Europe to accommodate washing machines. I think it is cheaper and easier for the builders to use the same water services plumbed into the bathrooms for the washing machine.
