  1. Sorry Naga...Straying from a great topic. FOOD!
  2. Tell me, Mr. Bundy, are you familiar with the continent of Atlantis? It did appear a few million years later than yours. 😁 You know I'm just having fun, right? BTW...Kelly was a hottie back in the day. What was Pangea? From about 280-230 million years ago (Late Paleozoic Era until the Late Triassic), the continent we now know as North America was continuous with Africa, South America, and Europe. They all existed as a single continent called Pangea. Pangea first began to be torn apart when a three-pronged fissure grew between Africa, South America, and North America. Rifting began as magma welled up through the weakness in the crust, creating a volcanic rift zone. Volcanic eruptions spewed ash and volcanic debris across the landscape as these severed continent-sized fragments of Pangea diverged. The gash between the spreading continents gradually grew to form a new ocean basin, the Atlantic. The rift zone known as the mid-Atlantic ridge continued to provide the raw volcanic materials for the expanding ocean basin. Meanwhile, North America was slowly pushed westward away from the rift zone. The thick continental crust that made up the new east coast collapsed into a series of down-dropped fault blocks that roughly parallel today's coastline. At first, the hot, faulted edge of the continent was high and buoyant relative to the new ocean basin. As the edge of North America moved away from the hot rift zone, it began to cool and subside beneath the new Atlantic Ocean. This once-active divergent plate boundary became the passive, trailing edge of westward moving North America. In plate tectonic terms, the Atlantic Plain is known as a classic example of a passive continental margin. Today, the Mesozoic and Cenozoic sedimentary rock layers that lie beneath much of the coastal plain and fringing continental shelf remain nearly horizontal.
  3. Whooooeee!! That's some gooooood Naw Oahlin's cooking there. I guarantee.
  4. LMFAO! She gets bug-eyed when I eat my eggs either sunny side up, or even over light/medium, whatever. Fried solid yolks or scrambled is the only way you'll get her to eat eggs. @albundy1089 is right. Don't get any of that instant crap. Just like instant rice, all the goodness has been boiled out of it to make it easy for the lazy folks. Good grits and also rice over 20-30 minutes to do correctly. Just add boiled water? Nah, I don't think so.
  5. Sorry Naga. I never claimed to be a salesman. 😉 I'm not good at bullshit, just facts. They are definitely an acquired taste.
  6. ?? Who was born in N.Y.? Johnson?
  7. I can try and shed some light on it all. Grits are the very center of a corn kernel, or the grit. They can be prepared in a variety of ways. If not properly fully cooked, it can be like eating a wet tasteless porridge. I for one like them, but cannot manage to eat porridge or oatmeal. I like them a little on the soupy side with salt, pepper and butter. My wife being a Southern girl puts scrambled eggs in hers. To her it kills the taste of the eggs! 😄 While some true Southerners like to put Red Eye gravy on them. These are the same folks that eat banana pudding. 😕 I can tell you one thing, don't let them dry out in the saucepan, or you'll be better off to just throw it away. Cured concrete would be easier to remove. But, they were a very inexpensive way to put some type of nutrition into you body and were eaten mainly by those with very little money. They provide a starch or carbohydrate and can cheaply give you energy when you have nothing else to eat. It's the same along the lines of oatmeal. Just a simple waste by-product of corn. The worse part is getting the damned little things out of your teeth.
  8. Hmmm! I must have struck a nerve here with the Brits. Over 21 hours since I posted and not even one snide remark.
  9. The icon looks like a little White House. The problem that lies wherein is, that in mere seconds, there is another unintelligible post of bullshit from one of the 3 or 4 idiots that inhabit that thread. It would serve the entire forum to simply eliminate that topic and lock out those that post in it continually.
  10. This guy has to be an honest politician. He can't have any money, he can't even afford to have his hair cut and his suit pressed. If he was dishonst and taking every Pound he could get his greedy fingers on, he could look like a million. Can't one of you Brits slip him a few quid so he can look professional?
  11. Get excited over what? Her? This is the closest to a puking emoji as we have.
  12. It's all about greed and the almighty $ or whatever currency is being exchanged in the transaction.
  13. You're sick, Rodent!
  14. A bit? How about a lot? I cooked 15 wings while waiting for it to load.
  15. A bit? How about a lot?
  16. Or even a 1/4 tank for that matter. Must be in Floriduh!
  17. The chances of a persons computer that already has Win 10, accepting Win 11 is pretty good. Those of us with older, stable versions, not so good.
  18. The position in which she is standing tells me she has about as much to lose when that branch breaks.
  19. An oldie, but always a goodie!
  20. Both funny and beautiful at the same time.
  21. They would probably kill me, but I would die a very happy man for trying.
  22. To those that never paid a penny to help with the site expenses and just hung out and read what others posted, you DON'T HAVE AN ACCOUNT. An account is something that involves financial transactions. Therefore, if you didn't help to support the site, you have no say in how things are run on a day to day basis. Now, if you don't want to post or read here any longer, you request that your profile be deleted. It's simple to do. But, your posts will forever remain in the cyber world for all to read. You may not have a 'handle' or a readable profile, but your words will always be there under the title of (your name here) and under it the word GUEST. I always tell people to just simply don't come back to the site. But you can't do that. You keep coming back for more. You need this place. You need to think that others like you. Whereas in reality, they could care less about you. Many people come and go here. If they were good posters and posted something meaningful, they might be missed for a few days or a week, but after that, they are just forgotten. Why? Because there is no such thing as a friend on the Internet. They are just made up meaningless profiles. We keep that stupid political section to keep those brain dead idiots there, so they are not bothering the rest of the forum with their lunacy and self hate. The only thing that they are accomplishing is showing the rest of the forum their lack of intelligence. You'll never change them. There are over 1000 pages of just hate and name calling. Does that show intelligence to you? It also shows a complete lack of a life outside of their basements. They are the same people that haunt the so-called Social Media sites. They want to be noticed, they are screaming for attention, but they're not being heard. Who with a brain is going to sit around and read that garbage? In short, if you don't like this site, please, just go away and leave the rest of us alone.
  23. Shoot! I'm still learning 8.1. 😄
  24. I thought it was going to be Win12. Stone lied to us!
