  1. This is why I liked their old apartment so much better. I felt I could watch "James Bond" or "Game of Thrones" right along with them, but now we're relegated to the back of the room. Hell, I can't even see what vintage of wine I should be drinking along with them... :-[ I hope she does her next jig-saw puzzle on the dining room table instead of the floor...
  2. This "Defense of Paul" routine is a re-run from when they first appeared on RLC. We've seen this same thing happen before. Back then, all the wankers were ragging on Paul about how much better their dicks and love making were, and then "Silent One," or someone using a similar avatar and claiming to be female, showed up explaining how much Leora and Paul loved each other and that he was really wonderful, but just poor, hard life, etc. CC zoo animals jumped on this: Is Silent One actually Paul, or is it Leora defending Paul? Personally, I think it was all bullshit last time we went through this, and I think it's all bullshit now. But, as Karen says, "I could be wrong!" Regardless, CC is an interesting study of human behavior, and usually it's more hilarious than RLC. ;D

All that said, I have no idea why some sites get blocked by take-downs while CC does not get blocked (free advertising for RLC perhaps?), or what the hell is going on with money being exchanged for rights to retain captured images on various servers. And frankly, at this point Scarlett, little Squirrel doesn't give a damn. Whatever happens is beyond my control (really, I'm just a nobody here), and I decided long ago to just deal with discussions about the inter-relationships between the couples with alpha-numeric posts while kicking back to previously unknown tunes at the Juke Box. Occasionally I will post a capture from a free room, simply to make a point. I call that "journalistic fair use." If done well, CC could expand beyond RLC entirely, which it will need to do unless it's worked out a deal with RLC.

  11. Beethoven certainly doesn't need to rollover for anyone or anything, and certainly not to modern musicians. The ELO version is highly respectful. In fact, I think the song is actually a respectful compliment to the Great Composer. Neither does Wagner need to make an excuse for himself or the power he imbued in his musical compositions (relax with a snifter of cognac and crank up the volume!):
  12. Chuck Berry wrote this song because his sister hogged the family piano to play classical music. It's become an often repeated popular classic itself. I haven't heard one complaint from Herr Von Beethoven yet.

  16. Amazing, we both agree that Dasha is rather pleasant looking. If you could explain what other special talents guide you to your attraction to her I'm sure we'd listen to your stories at the Old Dudes saloon. I promise not to insult her (which I wouldn't do, anyway.) I'll buy the beer. Maybe smooth things out since we are in agreement about Dasha's qualities.
  17. Darkman should visit the girls and teach them how to speak that wonderful mixture of Catalan/Castilian that he uses, while showing them the ways of an experienced and refined Latin Lover. Then the girls could hire themselves out to us as translators so we would know what the Russians, Ukrainians, and Catalan/Spanish speakers around here are talking about!

Let's just add the fact that prior to WWII, Europe had several standing and well developed armies and navies, and those countries were considered as individual world powers, both militarily and economically. They didn't want or need a EU, since each of the major nations could stand on their own. They all fought fiercely until such a time that they needed North America to help out: but even those days are gone. Now days, without the US, Europe would be steam-rolled by Russia, and god know what designs China has on the high seas and their new version of the Asian Co-Prosperity Sphere. It's very different now, especially since the current US administration has shown considerable naivete when dealing with Russia and Iran, has ceded vast swaths of territory to psychopathic Muslims, and has bought into the placid economic structure of European socialism. The US has not won a war in decades; its Congress is too pathetic to declare war, and its president is an operative trained by the Ghost of the Third ComIntern. It's quite possible the the US will not be able to bail out Europe again, even if it wanted to. To be truthful; many of us wonder what will become of our own country now that our Constitution has been essentially trashed by the rodents in Washington, DC. Check out http://usdebtclock.org/ if you wish to view a dying empire. I assure you, history does repeat itself but changes the tune, and I suspect the tune will not be any better than it was in 1914 or 1938. Just different. And you'll know it when your Internet becomes silent.
  20. I am not the self-appointed sheriff; I am not the one harassing and denigrating Nora Lovers. I said the following to inform some of you, who might be new to CC, of this part of N&K's history at RLC. I will stand by my statement : Nora is capable and quite good at being the girl next door; the home seamstress, the stunning model at photo shoots, an accomplished singer and dancer, and a voracious vixen in bed. There is a reason her fan club refuses to die.

  24. I'd like to hear comments from my French and other Euro friends. As much as we deplore these acts, we Americans are stuck with an administration that has willingly handed over enormous swaths of territory to terrorists, and thinks that "peace in our time" will be the reward. --- Je aimerais entendre les commentaires de mes amis français et autres Euro. Autant que nous déplorons ces actes, nous, les Américains sont pris avec une administration qui a volontairement remis énormes pans de territoire à des terroristes, et pense que «la paix dans notre temps» sera la récompense.
