What can Alan possibly have to do that is more pressing than being hospitable to his pretty guest? Poor manners in my view and much credit to little Jane for continuing to entertain us.

Nina is back with Jane but where is our hollow eyed lothario layabout when he is needed? I do get the impression that Nina carries him.
