I'm curious, are there many accidents on these highways? At those speeds? What happens to the cars and the people? Can anyone survive an accident at those speeds? Are these the Bundesautobahns or Autobahns you are talking about? Thanks. Expand Yes it's the famous Autobahn. When there is no restriction you can go there as fast as you can. Of course you can't survive an accident at this speed. But at 70 mph full frontal impact is not survivable too. There are not many accidents at all. In Germany the number of people killed in traffic accidents is one of the lowest in the world. People no how to handle these fast speeds. You learn it when you learn to drive already. There are people going even faster than me. It's not unusual to get permanently overtaken by others who go faster. Fastest I went but not with my own car was about 300kph 1

And you can always be dead when going only 130 kph

I think it's much easier to read than trying to follow the longer lines from left to right and back again. It's more like reading a magazine or a newspaper with multiple columns, but shorter lines. letsdothis Posted August 13, 2019 Posted August 13, 2019 Hey, @jabbath1987, I learned another German word today. Verschlimmbessern is the act of making something worse while attempting to make it better. Is that correct? Although I learned these two words, I don't know how to pronounce them. Could you help with that? 1
