The useful currencies in Zimbabwe are US Dollar and South African Rand. In other words, Zimbabwe has a serious economic problem. Germany created a similar problem during WWI by just printing money to finance their war effort: 1921 90 marks = 1 dollar 1922 7400 marks = 1 dollar 1923 4,200,000,000 = 1 dollar Hyperinflation is almost always the result of unchecked government spending with no backing behind the currency.
