Also after first month - visit to inspect apartment, absolutely logical. Maybe apartment already turned into pigsty or have damage. And rent must be stoped immediately. Or on the contrary, tenants take care about apartment and landlord just have money by transfer without worrying.😉

In Germany the landlord is not allowed to enter the apartment when the tenants don't want it. He's not even allowed to have a key for it.

I saw that in many places that landlord came to collect the rent personally. Very unusual to me. 

Maybe many are not able to get a bank account or even want one?

Same thing here in the U.S. Although its required that the landlord have a spare key just in case of emergencies. The Landlord does however have a "Right to Repair" and may enter the dwelling if the tenant is not around to do so. For example if an apartment has a busted pipe and water is flooding the building the landlord may enter and repair it.

We don't typically deal in cash though. I guess it would depend on how shady the landlord is and if this is under the table or not. But I suppose that's the same anywhere in the world.

Yeah same here. When there is danger for peoples health or property like you said broken pipe and tenants not there he is allowed to enter. But he must report and document everything he did later. But usually tenants have an interest themselves when landlord comes to get things fixed so there are usually no problems at all.By the way he couldn't do anything about cams in the appartement as long as they don't film outside and people get on video who don't want to. 

It's also allowed to paint walls and drill holes in them. The tenants have to fix the holes when they move out and paint the walls in the original color again.

They are "soft swingers" and are not going to change that.

I don't see anything bad with providing apartment for brigade hardcore swingers.

As for fine - it was canceled. They successfully appealed. There no fact on camera, only suspicious action. So Allison&Roger happy - but they learned lesson.
