The real question is if this guy is being referred to Paul as “ male friend “ or “ boyfriend “ ... Like this the “ current “ friend zone that Paul has Leora and the opposite is proved or despite both moving on with their personal lives , the contact is maintained as two people who deeply loved one another and still do but in different terms and not emotional anymore .
