@Slipper Guyquad "Why did she say to Paul only a few weeks ago 'I've known her half my life' when saying she knows her better than anyone?"

Do you think people say they've known someone half their life only when they've know them for exactly half their age?  That they sit and think about the exact number of years and then find the correct fraction.  If they'd known each other for 12 years, what then?  Can't use "half my life" because that only applies to 15 years.  Can't use "one third" because that only applies to 10 years.  Would they say "I've known her for two fifths of my life"?  And if they'd known each other for thirteen years, would they say "I've known her for thirteen thirtieths of my life"?  Do you really think people are so precise?
