Note to Ridgerunner, re: Greta Thunberg :

You're just a very old indoctrinated fool. Mmmm, I wonder which is better. Let's just see. You've had a lifetime and then some to make use of your learning abilities, but judging from your participation in this topic, you've blatantly squandered your life's time on this Earth and learned very little worth passing on.

Greta, on the other hand, is just starting out. She already knows more about not only climate change, but life in general than you'll ever get the chance, again, to learn.

And BTW, where are your academic credentials to prove she's not an expert in anything

And where are your academic credentials to prove that she is an expert?  Question: How many college degrees does Greta Thunberg have in climatology? She is 18 years old. Her father was an actor and her mother was an opera singer.I don't see where she has ever had any formal training in climatology, so how can she be considered a climate expert?

If this story is true, it is just more proof that voter ID laws help to prevent illegal voting. So why do Democrats want to pass federal legislation that would make it illegal for states to require voters to show IDs before being allowed to vote?

According to CNN the 17 year old boy presented his valid legal ID and was told that he was too young to vote. At that point the boy left the polling site. Maybe the boy was just testing the integrity of the polling officials. It would have been a much bigger story if the officials had knowingly allowed a 17 year old to vote.

Without GOP support, the bill didn't have a majority. And the right wing is out for blood.

And the progressive left wing caucus just got defeated in their effort to hold this bill hostage, which 6 Democrats voted to defeat this bill preferring left wing politics to the good of the Country..  Even though 200 Republicans voted against the bill, there were 13 Republicans willing to vote for America and the bill, rather than sticking to party politics.

However, six progressive Democrats - all members who make up the "The Squad" - rejected the legislation late on Friday.

The members include:

  • Rep. Jamaal Bowman of New York
  • Rep. Cori Bush of Missouri
  • Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez of New York
  • Rep. Ilhan Omar of Minnesota
  • Rep. Ayanna Pressley of Massachusetts
  • Rep. Rashida Tlaib of Michigan

It is about time people in government--people with power-- either submit to mental cognitive testing and psychological testing at a certain age or not be permitted to seek public office.

Found this article--even tho it is 3 years old--gives us an insight into Greta's educational academic credentials--she has none--she is a school dropout acting exactly what would be expected of someone with Asperger's Syndrome.

Following Sweden’s hottest summer ever, Greta Thunberg decided to go on school strike at the parliament to get politicians to act

Greta has Asperger’s syndrome, which in the past has affected her health, he says. She sees her condition not as a disability but as a gift which has helped open her eyes to the climate crisis.

And now we know her real problem is and why she is not qualified --she is really just behaving like her disorder indicates.

Asperger syndrome is part of the autism spectrum disorder (ASD), a group of disorders that affects the development of social and communication skills.[1][2] Unlike many children with ASD, children with Asperger syndrome do not have early language delays, and often have well developed language skills and normal to above average intelligence. However, they may use unusual speech patterns and have a hard time understanding irony, humor, and sarcasm or gestures and social cues important to normal conversation.[3] Many children with Asperger syndrome develop an obsessive interest in one topic or object. They may use high-level vocabulary or complex statistics in conversation.[1][3] Children with Asperger syndrome may have delayed motor skills and thus can appear uncoordinated and clumsy compared to their peers. Other features of Asperger syndrome include difficulty interacting with peers, inappropriate social or emotional behavior, and engaging in repetitive routines.[1] Both children and adults with Asperger syndrome are at an increased risk for depression, attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), mood and anxiety disorders, and other mental health disorders.[4]
