They did announce that Masha was offline "While she finds herself", so it would make sense for them to say she has left the project.

Trouble is, even though she is still a loose cannon, gave away the address, left the apartment in a mess, slagged off her bosses AND other tenants, someone at HQ will still say "Well let's see, she may turn this around...."🙄
