It's a side vacation from the original vacation,,,it's very hard when you have different countries with different languages, Dialects, Phrases, Adjectives and just plain old slangs,,,,,,, When I come back from back from a vacation,, I use the term "I need a vacation from my vacation" ,,,meaning I'm so tired that I need to rest for like 3 more days after coming back from vacation. If I went on vacation with my family, and while on vacation with them I hear about some other place away from where I already am on vacation and i want to ditch them for a few days to go meet up with a hot girl on another Island or country,,, I phrase it as "taking a side vacation from my original vacation",,,,,,,,these terms are hard to understand if you don't use it in your language or everyday way of speaking,,,, I hope I explained it so you can understand. 2
