Basically some mods want to give a free pass to the individual who repeatedly derails threads and makes the experience of CC crap for everyone else. It's not about liability, although I think it is about political alignment of some mods with the person who's only goal it seems is to be an ignorant jackass. I was not reporting him, I wanted to see if there was anything that could be done about this guy before the boards blow up again, obviously this replying mod at least, isn't interested in the health of the boards, so meh, neither am I. Not my chair, not my problem! 😂 I'd suggest to everyone else to just ignore the individual concerned, that's what I'll try to do, even though he makes it very hard when he chooses to directly attack people.

I doubt that Sweden is past its peak though. If so we've been very lucky and it is probably more to do with the weather or environmental factors (not proven) that is affecting the virus rather than the government's lack of action. People are only being tested if they have symptoms that are serious enough to go to hospital so the figures can't be trusted regarding future projection and I read in a newspaper that Anders Tegnell (the government health minister, who has more power than the prime minister in a pandemic), believes that we are looking at early to mid May to hit the worst time. Swedish people are quite socially distant to begin with, (I say that as a Brit who lives here) and they tend to follow the gov advice in most things, including to stay apart, so maybe it is working but it's too early to say. Like most countries we need mass testing to really say if we can see the light at the end of the tunnel but that's not happeneing here.

The above was taken from outisde some Michigan state building and the protesters are people demanding their right to do whatever they want regardless of the fact that they will be vectors for transmission. Apparently they stopped traffic in the streets leading to hospitals which hampered paramedics bringing people to ER. Judging by their age, proximity and stupidity, I doubt any of them will be alive next month - to which I make no further comment.

I just went to the pharmacy to get my cat her inhaler prescription. As I was stood in the queue I tuned in to a lady who was coughing really hard as she walked around the shop. It wasn't like a normal cough, more like the power of a sneeze but definately a cough, not a nasal sneeze. Think I just witnessed my first Covid-19 victim, she did not look well at all. 🤥 The government here in Sweden has shown a pathetic response compared to other Scandi countries, there's no plan or anything. Someone at my girl's company thought he had it and was told by the healthcare service to just stay at home and call them back if he finds he cannot breathe. Basically the situation is like the US and UK were in 3 weeks ago. Now I'm on the 2 week countdown to see if the woman at the pharmacy gave it to me! I doubt it but tell you what boys, I had the longest, scrubbiest, soapiest shower when I came home!! 😂

It's the whole two-party system that your politicians have abused. Neither party is for the people, they are both for businesses first. The Democrats would have acted in exactly the same way as the GOP is acting now - not taking action until crashing markets and business required them to. The US was built on revolution and throwing out the government/monarchy that was not representing them - it really is about time that something similar happens again in your country now. The Dems don't care about your health, nor do the Republicans - they both only care about campaign money and pandering to lobbyists, most notably from the health insurance sector. I hope that once the dust has settled on this virus and the US has paid not too steep a price for the inaction of your politicians, that people will take the opportunity to question whether that political system is fit for purpose. The richest country the world has ever known should not be having to fly in testing kits from Italy, the 2nd worst affected nation for coronavirus.
