In fact, any publicity that creates extra excitement, negative or positive, works in RLC's favor. They were already moving past the "ordinary couple" and "girl next door" authenticity stage when A&A left.

I don't think RLC is issuing orders that Leora sleep with the lights or the TV turned on. I think it's just Complicated Leora being Complicated Leora. She feels more secure that way. (Perhaps she needs some loyal fluffy-tailed woodland creatures in the apartment to protect her. ;D )

Well Harley. . . I think RLC might consider a subscription-by-apartment method. This would include the basic service plus a fee for the full run of specific apartments. Sort of like cable TV. The software to do that would be rather overwhelming, but if I were RLC I would consider it. I think it's a bit pricey for those of us who only have a few favorites on the board. I can handle a buck-a-month for CC; but $45 a month for something I don't have time to watch (believe me, I don't have time to watch RLC anymore) would be a useless expenditure of time and treasure. Maybe a discount: I'd be happy just to see Leora smiling while painting and Maya crafting. I'm easy pleased. T&A are everywhere else on the net for free. Nice post, Mr1010. I have no problems with the members here. No problems with Snaky (he's a good guy who speaks his mind) or Corbo (who, incidentally just posted the whole cast of your suggested card deck), or Harley (who has shown amazing restraint) or anybody else here. We all have something to contribute. Let's just resolve that we are all rowing the same row boat, we're all stuck trying to figure out what's going on in RLC while surviving on meager rations, and if someone is seen missing a row stroke in the Apartment threads or at Old Dudes, we'll bring it here for discussion and hash it out. There's nothing serious going on at CC. It's trivial in the scheme of things. It's strictly meant for having fun. I only get upset and lose sleep when other members take this place too seriously or when outsiders threaten our very existence. That's my job. Now, let's go ahead and post wisely and politely in the public Apartment & Old Dudes Forums. That's all I care about. Anything posted here in Flames and Rants, I don't care about. The rules here at Rants & Flame Wars are simple: Don't post stuff that's dangerous to the tenants, and don't post illegal material. According to the collective intelligence of CC (which I admit is minimal) she's not on an RLC contract; she's just a friend who's couch surfing with two RLC tenants. And some of us love her, some of us just understand her condition, some of us think otherwise. All I care about is that her life improves and that CC members don't tear up each other about her. Lately, this thread has become much more interesting and fun to read, and I very much appreciate those of you who have posted factual and objective observations about what's going on in that apartment. @ Mr Box: Your explanation regarding questions of how RLC is evolving its Mission Statement is worthy of discussion. You have not personally attacked other members in stating the concept, and I appreciate your maturity and logic when dealing with such complex ideas.

I contact some members via PMs in order to explain the situation and I remove blatant insults, but some of the issues expressed last night (some of which I personally disagree) were interesting and I believe their value was in posing the question, "How do I feel about women who behave in this manner?" It is a cultural and personal issue. If I kill too much discourse, I will be accused of censorship; if I let some things ride, I'll be accused of favoritism and excessive tolerance. People are going to complain about tenants no matter what we do, and some times it's probably deserved. I think the disappointing thing is that people take CC waaaayyy too seriously. We're here to have fun. Of that, I'm sure you and I are on the same team.

The Italy apartment is a group benefit for RLC tenants; they now get use of a vacation time-share. This has got to be a terrific perk for the St. Petersburg crowd, who no doubt are happy to thaw out while they go sight-seeing in Rome.

Go for it. Direct complaints about CC Mods HERE. Just don't give Mods any shit in the Apartment threads or Old Dudes. Every time Mods must step in to quell a childish Domestic Dispute between members, they get yelled at by both parties. It's a no win situation for them, and they have far more important things to do in order to keep this site legal and fun. And flame-baiting and flaming is NOT FUN for others to watch. Thank you.
