I'm watching here for infractions of the Almighty CamCaps Rules. No KP, no direct threatening other members, and this area is pretty much still free speech and thought (unlike Facebook & Twitter). Some people here don't like freedom for individuals; just group think, absolute governments, beating up people who disagree with you in the streets. Now, everybody here is talking about President Houseplant, so that's fine with me. I'll leave the thread alone. Bring it on.

Please be aware that I do currently (for the time being), live in California, my native state. The population is far bigger than most countries. We don't have control over as many nukes as the US, the former Soviet Union (if it is indeed former) or China. But California could kill any nation with it's Mexican Cartels. His support for the unions and PGE ought to help him be elected the next president or at least survive the recall. What are the chances that Putin should be more worried about conquest by China than conquest by the US? Sino-Soviet relation problems have existed for centuries, way before the US was formed. And although China cannot currently project military power over long distances, it could certainly wipe out Russia. Still, they play together. Well, kinda sorta. Truly, we have a weak president who supports socialism, but the comparison of a semi-capitalist constitutional nation with few people compared to a communist dictatorship deserves some examination.

If I were you, I'd download a different browser, ensure that any ad-blockers are off, and hope that we don't just have a temporary glitch in the CC or Cloudflare systems. I use several browsers, each with different settings, and each one behaves differently.

Personally, I liked the "General Chat" topic for each apartment. I lobbied for it. But it does get difficult for people with tiny fucking phones and itty-bitty pads to scroll through, and I lost the vote. Me, I only deal with CC when I've got the two big monitors and a real keyboard. And a full stereo system (for the Juke Box in the Old Dude's Forum.) I can handle scrolling forever. Anyone who has an opinion about how to organize CC's forums, just tell it to the Moderators, to the public members, or every body. Explain why you think we should change things. It's easy to do. You, as a member, have a voice to offer suggestions for improvement. Do so. Such suggestions do not need to be placed in Rants and Flame Wars. General discussions or a direct message to the Moderators will be noticed. (I don't bother with modding Rants & Flames. It's unmoderated! (To a very large extent.)

It's obvious to me that if you are in law enforcement, you should not do your job unless you are in a White, Asian, or Hispanic neighborhood. Not when any black person is remotely involved. Now days, everything is about race, and no one cares even though the perp is in the act of commiting a felony or poses a danger to others. Liberals do not believe that African-Americans are smart enough to get an ID, cannot and should not follow the requests of a police officer, and don't want any law enforcement in their neighborhoods.

The idea of starting a race war to divide American citizens is not new. If electricity was shut off 18 hours per day, and people required to stay at home assembling jigsaw puzzles instead, then man-bear-pig would starve and we would live in a happy country full of unicorns. And then Earth would love us as much as it loves North Korea.

Decreasing the size of the Federal Government would save trillions of dollars for the common people. Each region could use that saving to fix their bridges, help churches take care of the homeless, enforce the law, and make social improvements as they saw fit. Hell, in San Francisco those people might even be able to clean the needles and feces off their streets without begging for money from other states!
