This post belongs in General Discussion, but I don't much care. It's an important subject. So here is your answer from me: RLC went downhill when the Barc apartments got popular. These are young women who wanted to get the fuck out-of-their little impoverished towns in Ukraine and Russia, and wanted to explore the world. And the weather in Barcelona is decidedly better than some shitty little town in Siberia. The early ones were models that Nora had met or worked with. I honestly can't follow them anymore. I preferred the "real life couples" of the original RLC mission statement. That would mean L&P in the old days --- Maya & Stepan, Lora & Meerkat, and many others. They just went about their lives and didn't go out of their way to play to the camera. Martina and Alberto and a couple others still live there, but I preferred to watch Krasnoyarsk. All that has changed. I give credit to VHTV: their management has not shut us down, they really don't claim to be anything that they aren't, and they get a lot of comments and action from CC members. Fine. RLC, one the other hand, has gone to compete VHTV, and lost it's authenticity and mission statement. To answer Harley's original question and post: They are both management based and driven in a way to get more hits than their competitors. This is how the Internet sites work.

I have a right to my housing because I took responsibility to acquire a home and I earned it. I worked for years to accomplish that. I did not take it from others. I do not expect the government to control my health, housing, or even food. To do so would make me a slave to the government. It would also result in higher tax costs for others until they just gave up and became Atlas Shrugged. Open the goddamn economy. There was never a reason to close it in the first place.

And it's time for Democrat leadership to allow small business get back up and running again. They won't do it through socialism. Just because small mom & pops don't have a union to contribute campaign funding is no reason to continue to destroy them. I speak from experience. I live in a state where masks don't work. We must get vaccinated. But it doesn't work so we have to get vaccinated and still wear a mask. Even though the government told us to do both things, which is an admission it has no idea how to deal with us unless we can be forced to obey. That's the goal. I have taken the responsibility to protect my own health. It's my job. Not the governments: they are inconsistent and make no scientific sense. In accord with the title of this topic, the political ramifications are extremely serious. The Chinese Communist Party is aware of the best way of winning a war is to create fear and doubt in their enemy; to shut down the enemies supply lines; to sever travel between the enemy's allies. This requires control of internal political officials and it's media. It also requires a catalyst, but it can't be a blatant attack in the age of nuclear power. Genetic engineering is the perfect means to this end. The Wuhan Institute of Virology is clearly a bio-weapons lab. Nothing good for human health has come out of there. And American's had their tax money handed over to this place by the WHO, the NIH, and way too many American politicians who have been supported by the Chinese Communist government.

I'm certain you know that the majority of people who have not bothered to get vaccinated live in Democrat controlled areas. But you seem to know nothing. Please get vaccinated, but do not ask me to mask-up when I do my morning walk through the park anymore. Thank you. Well, yep, China's bio-weapons lab in Wufu created the virus. Why Fauci made US Citizens help pay for it, is anyone's guess. There is no such thing as election integrity if votes are not validated. There was no runaway inflation under Trump. He did not encourage Russians to eat more of Ukraine. He did not make the US energy impotent and dependent upon tyrannical states. He did not give into the North Korean government by sending them tax dollars as a tribute. Same with Iran. His policies created jobs for everyone regardless of race, creed, or color. He did not aid the Cartels in their human traffic of slaves, drugs, innocent children, or people with Covid. He did not take money to make his jurisdiction a sanctuary zone like the leaders of so many cities and states did. He doesn't want a weak America, and he understands that a weak America means the death of democratic Western Civilization and the rise of totalitarian slave culture. Incidentally, I'm not a Republican, and I originally considered Trump a useless idiot like all the Dems and Repubs in Washington. And the more the cost of food, fuel & medical costs escalate, the more I like the man's policies. They worked. President Houseplant's don't, and never have.

Let's get something straight. Trump bulldozed through the bureaucracy to get that vaccine to market, using people who willingly worked in the private sector drug companies. It was done in record time. You are afraid of the Trump vaccine? Fine. I think you should be responsible for your own decisions, and deal with the consequents. They're obvious, apparent, and don't pretend to be something they aren't, like RLC does. How about the idea that the tenants stay, and RLC management either leaves or goes back to the original mission statement and hold true to it. Or at least, look like it does...

I shall expand on Jimbo4's comment. We started the "No posting of Outside RLC information" because people were posting travel itineraries tenants and pictures of their employment. Several tenants were stalked (they panicked), so we ask that personal information gleaned from the apartment can be posted, but outside information belongs at best to Private Messaging among CC friends that you trust to be mentally stable. We are not a service that provides GPS information to stalkers. We treasure the tenants and their safety. Statements like "I think she's a professional hairdresser," "I think they are involved in a rock band," "Paul is serving in his compulsory military service," and other wild speculations are acceptable because they were gleaned from within the apartment. Naming of real names, tenant's employer's names, and travel itineraries are against the rules. And be nice to others. Or try to be. 🐿️

Interesting comment. In my opinion, Leora originally wasn't comfortable with RLC, but she liked the lifestyle she could now afford and "loosened up" to do what was necessary to increase RLC metrics. Metrics are EVERYTHING to websites. Malia got invited in because she and Leora have been very close friends FOREVER. I think Malia was originally squeamish and modest about doing RLC in the first place, but it at least she got free rent and she got the hell out of Siberia. Leora and Paul have a very long history, too. RLC has totally changed their lives, but it hasn't changed everything. They still hang together and whatever argument they have had will be settled. The level of contact with Paul suggests that the living arrangements are dictated by financial decisions. Otherwise, L&P would be at home playing with that little dog. (Leora loves dogs. Sadly, she does not love squirrel avatars. ) My opinion only, but I'll bet you 25 virtual pecans that my statements are valid.
