IMO, First off I would like to say you must passionately want independence a NEED to be independent or else it becomes merely a political exercise.Obviously there are huge economic hurdles to overcome but that is the small cost you pay for what I see as a better Scotland.In the last hundred years at least we lived in what essentially was a three party state,Conservative,Labour and Liberal party and that was really your only realistic choices with Scottish Nationalism an outside bet.Nowadays I feel that politics is more widely taught in school and with the advent of the web people can be more aware of how our country is run.As you said the no campaign won Indyref1 with a 55% to 45% victory not a lot in it though.We have a devolved government in Scotland based in Edinburgh(my home city) directly opposite Holyrood Palace and is where Scotland's politics are based,but although devolvement is a step in the right direction we are still controlled by London.The only difference now is that instead of London allocating the budget and telling us how to spend it we now have the power to spend it which ever way we want.Still being controlled by basically a bunch of mainly English MP's which I think is wrong.As you correctly say the main stumbling block is fear for the future but I say that we just have to get on with it.Pre Indyref1 the negativity coming from south of the border was unbelievable with MP's commenting on Scottish politics who didn't have a real understanding of the situation.Of course there were many Scottish MP's who campaigned no which is fair enough.When you have organisations like the Grand Orange Order of Scotland(who are loyal to Crown and Bible) marching in their thousands through the streets of Scotland against Independence,not based on politics which it should mostly be but because of their beliefs I think is completely wrong.As for Brexit 62% of Scots voted to remain in the EU but once again that will not be taken into consideration as London will decide so wrong as far as I'm concerned.In fact what ever happens Post Brexit I believe some power and decisions we have in our Government could be removed or suspended which only emphasises where the real power lies.I passionately believe that our Scottish Parliament debating and deciding purely Scottish issues has to be a good thing.Our population is only 5.5 million Approx.so we are only a small part of the UK.but that shouldn't diminish our right to decide Act of Union or not.Obviously I respect other people's choice and opinions but this is mine.There is so much more I could go on about but better wrap this up before it gets too boring. I have just watched the story on how the Star Spangler Banner came to be your National Anthem,very interesting and no wonder the American people are so proud of the flag.Nothing like a bit of British double dealing to reinforce resistance. Just that plastic greenhouse thingy I mentioned with planters in it.I' m never very successful at it but have managed to grow peas,chilli's(Scotch Bonnet hot as f***)all quite small though,peppers,srawberrys,and tomatoes.Small amounts and nothing very big but I enjoy having a go.We have loads of squirrels round where we live but they never come in the back garden.That would pee me off if something ate my vegetables and fruit,it's not much but they are not getting it.
