I do not know what was aired on the radio, before TV, in England. But here are a few that were broadcast in the USA.  " Frontpage Farrow ",  " Fibber Magee and Molly ", " The Shadow , knows", and " The Great Gildersleeve ".

None of which were televised that I can remember.

TV was first broadcast in 1936 in England but really never got into the homes until around 1950...My mother couldn’t afford one with ten kids to support so I remember the first set coming into our house around  1964 and she rented it weekly, along with a washing machine.....Oh! how times and situations have changed. For the better? Personally Yes,  but Nationally  and Internationally I’m not so sure.😸
