Damn. You've reminded me of our drink of choice when I was in college: Carsberg Elephant Malt Liquor. I've a good mind to drag you over to Old Dude's "Finer things in life."

I had scrumpy in York: never again. It is either a learned taste or an abomination. It's not a cider; it's a rodent poison...

Give me a couple Elephants and slurps of Krista and we've got a deal . . .

For those of us who don't know:

Scrumpy is a type of cider originating in the West of England, particularly
Devon, Dorset, Somerset, Wiltshire, Gloucestershire and Herefordshire.
Traditionally, the dialect term "scrumpy" was used to refer to what was
otherwise called "rough", a harsh cider made from unselected apples.

You yanks ain't ain't used to the origonal good stuff only the nats piss you get in bottles

I don't know if it comes in bottles, cans, on tap or in milk-type cartons. I've
never tasted either Scrumpy or Somersby. Was only letting people know
what Scrumpy was, since I had to look it up myself. I wasn't expecting it
to be cider, however.
