But the sausage sauce is browner and thicker and not as black as soy, so it could be an additive. I think (or imagine) she has an ancient Russian recipe from her бабушка (grandmother). I hold a fond place for Siamese cats. They always remind me of an old girlfriend. When I moved in with her, she had five Siamese cats she got from a guy who brought them from Vietnam and no longer wanted them.
