Selfish?
She wasn't sleepy so she wanted to play. If Kira is tired then go to sleep. She doesn't have to wait for Nina.

If she wasn’t sleepy why go to bed and keep Kira awake   She could have stayed in the living room where it was quiet

Letting Kira get her much needed sleep

No it's not selfishness, Nina is an artist, she lives sometimes in a parallel world, I think that there on the contrary, she wanted to please Kira by going to her. But she doesn't realize that she's keeping Kira awake... I know someone like that, very nice, but who at times lives in another world, which gives this impression of being selfish.  A problem of connection with reality... Kira should maybe tell him more often to come back down to earth, but she's too nice.🙃

I have to agree with you about Kira being  too nice and sometimes too soft on Nina

but it works both ways Nina is sometimes too hard on Kira

But that is marrage you have to compromise

If not too much trouble, could someone make a SHORT recording (I can't d/l the long ones, my hamsters can't keep up) of the Nina/Kira duet of "Kapitan" that they sing while Kira makes spaghetti dinner.  It starts around 22:43:45 and lasts 2 minutes, and I watched cam-1 to watch Kira singing.  It's quite adorable (and they have great harmony!).  Apparently Lunch's true name comes from an actual song.

Then, for a laugh, check out 22:52, when one of the birds dive-bombs poor Kira just trying to eat, and she ends up dumping half of her dinner right into her lap.  Nina starts laughing her ass off.  Kira laughs but also looks like wants to cry, and then just mad.  When she goes to change her shirt, Butch jumps up on the sofa and stalks the bad bird, as if he was saying "you ruined my mom's dinner - prepare to BECOME dinner!"

Maybe I'm strange, but personally, I don't think having the birds fluttering around the room while you're trying to have dinner is the best or brightest idea.  Keep the damned things in the cage until dinner is over.  Poor Kira just can't get a break!

Let’s hope that they get wise from the damage. And that the cats don't get the idea that the birds are edible.
