This forum is the perfect place for this one,,the first ever music video on MTV in 1981,,to lead off the birth of music videos,,sadly,,R.I.P. to MTV as it has gone to shit.

On August 1, 1981, MTV: Music Television goes on the air for the first time ever, with the words (spoken by one of MTV’s creators, John Lack): “Ladies and gentlemen, rock and roll.” The Buggles’ “Video Killed the Radio Star” was the first music video to air on the new cable television channel, which initially was available only to households in parts of New Jersey. MTV went on to revolutionize the music industry and become an influential source of pop culture and entertainment in the United States and other parts of the world, including Europe, Asia and Latin America, which all have MTV-branded channels.

Have you wondered what happened to the Robert Palmer girls from the Addicted to Love video? We take a look at what they have been doing these last 30 years.

But we all do get older unfortunately--but fun to look back on what once was.

I just hope that bastard Chapman never sees the light of day.

Hate to burst your bubble but I think his lawyer was trying recently to get him paroled.  Whether there's any happenings or not it's hard to say as sometimes they keep things hushed.
