Alan moved on but keeps turning up. Stifler like a bad penny and we have just seen Deborah again. For their own protection tenants have to act a bit like a secret society/family business to prevent public exposure (like Lexa and Waverley or Grace and Jacob). Whilst it might be unlikely Helena would ever ask Serj to partner Eva, if Daniel were to leave, Helena might feel obliged to risk a fresh recruitment but a known quantity could represent less of a confidentiality risk. Unfortunately, both when D&A came and now with D&J, it's all quite boring especially because we don't understand Russian. It's the same as watching a movie in a language you don't understand: if it's a Western or a Kung-fu movie, more or less you can understand the plot; if it's a drama or a psychological movie, you don't understand anything and you get bored.
