On Thursday, the health ministry in Prague reported 16,939 additional cases in 24 hours. In the country of 10.7 million inhabitants, 718,661 infections have already been reported since the start of the corona pandemic. A total of 11,580 people died from COVID-19. In the intensive care units of Czech hospitals, less than a quarter of the beds are now available for new patients.
