I agree...I think 1 of the guys spent the night with Zabava a few nights ago. I thought Karol was still in a long term relationship...

It may be confusing to write boyfriend (bf)
We distinguish between gender friends and boy/girl friends. (venn / venninne) 
But we can use a gender-neutral "friend"
When someone is together, we say "Kjæreste" which also translates to boyfriend /girlfriend.

Ok...So he is obviously a boy, and he's just a friend. I still don't know how you know he's a contact of Karol's because we've never seen him before...
