  1. This is not a commercial. It is a public service announcement. Meaning it's a commercial from elected government officials to make it look like they're not just lazy rich assholes who are enriching themselves at our expense. I just felt that it was important to get our housewives up to speed on this important subject. I'm sure Karen will find it instructive. :D
  2. Well, golly jeekers, Karen, that was random. ;D
  3. They won't be back. They left the pumpkin because after they packed up, it wouldn't fit in the Yugo.
  4. Some of the other couples work. Maya does, Alina sells Avon products, Addy & Daniel are gone during the day (and most of the night). Paul's in the Russian military reserves, but only disappears on weekends. Don't know about Anton: he disappears for several days, almost as if he picks-up gigs at distant oil fields or is in the military. At home, he fucks the hell out of Alina, then practices continuously for the next virtual war. Diana is a acting student; Efim is involved in music and plays for a rock-and-roll band. I believe Sofia and Roman held jobs, but they have just disappeared. That happens. This is the second apartment that Alina and Anton have had. The previous one was smaller, and the cameras were poorly placed. They are the longest-lasting couple at RLC. To my knowledge, they are the only couple that has been relocated on RLC, and they are the only couple with a permanent live-in roommate (although they all seem to be having a few problems getting along together since the weekend.) I cannot find official "Apartment" numbers in the html code, except for the page designation, which is followed by the camera number. Don't know about their system for keeping track of tenants, but they obviously have been adding and subtracting tenants this past year.
  5. There are several on that page. Royal made many of them. It had an interesting history: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Royal_Typewriter_Company I prefer the Clark Nova. They're very good for writing reports. But for business, I use a Krupps Dominator. Company policy. http://oztypewriter.blogspot.com/2013/09/yikes-its-back-clark-nova-typewriter.html
  6. At? Disagreeing with everybody about everything every time.
  7. You might be looking at a hundred bucks if you do it right. Check here: http://www.ebay.com/sch/items/?_nkw=old+typewriter&_sacat=&_ex_kw=&_mPrRngCbx=1&_udlo=&_udhi=&_sop=12&_fpos=&_fspt=1&_sadis=&LH_CAds= I had a collection of typewriters in my youth, but divested myself of them. Dammit. The older ones are quite beautiful machines, finely engineered. I've kept a Smith-Corona and an Olympia: the keyboard action far exceeds that of any computer I've ever had. Kinda the difference between a Caddy and a Yugo; kinda a difference between a manual or an automatic transmission in a sports car. Ribbons are available, and you can be entirely off-line 24-7 and still produce a written product without using fossil fuels or being distracted by CamCaps or RLC. Very nifty devices, old typewriters are.
  8. Hi there, Newbie. I think you'll like it here. I gave you a -1 for posting the picture of a beautiful woman. That's a good thing. There are a few more animals in cages to the left and the right, but basically it's the same zoo.
  9. It's good to see Admin HARD at work.
  10. Aubrey's job is to disagree with everybody about everything every time. He's very skilled.
  11. It only takes one EMP. I've got a magnetic compass, a slide rule, and a very nice mechanical typewriter. And a metal lathe that a squirrel cage could power. I'm set. I can kick ass.
  12. The mother country is not yet dead. Locke is; but the philosophy cannot be killed.
  13. Screw Foster's lager. And PBR. I'll buy the first round of single malt Scotch. We don't mess around at Old Dudes...

  15. This is a joke? ??? Yes. It's just a joke. It's based upon the sound that impact sprinklers make. Commonly used in California before it ran out of water. http://www.sprinklerwarehouse.com/Impact-Sprinklers-s/7006.htm We're all on drip irrigation now and letting our lawns die.
  16. And sadly no one hardly ever talk's about the poor fish in the corner. :( True, but Maya's still unnamed cat has shown much interest in them at times. Perhaps the kittens will too when they get a bit bigger.
  17. Since you are fairly new here, I'll let you in on a little secret: They have a complex relationship, probably more of a complicated personal history, and even members of their CamCaps fan club don't question their relationship anymore. He's a good man, and he's got a Greek goddess for a mate. And Scooter is a happy puppy.
  18. Common masher?? My English is not so good. What is this? Foam you do not know me, but you say that I am not the one who I am? Not a big welcome. Maybe I will not stay long here. A "masher" is a less than reputable man that likes to grope women and do inappropriate things to them. Karen is probably referring to me in her comment. http://dictionary.reference.com/browse/Masher
  19. Scooter is the name we have given to L&P's dog, because Leora and Paul never call their dog by name loud enough to be picked up by the microphone. We make up names for the pets, since RLC doesn't provide them with names like they do the tenants. Meerkat, Agent Dog, Qualude, etc. It's helpful since some of these pets are a big part of of RLC. But nobody has named all of Maya's fish yet... :(
  20. Arabic is difficult. I'm lucky. I only need to learn Mexican Spanish. They write in Roman letters. On the other hand, we might both need to learn Mandarin...that's going to be painful...
  21. Usually early morning for your time zone. She's very faithful to her hygiene and grooming.
  22. Yes, the kittens get much of the attention, but Qualude (dog) and grown cat are quite kind to the kittens and appear happy with the situation. Just wait until the kittens get big enough to meet the fish... Speaking of which, maybe Efim's got a lot of cat gut on the high strings of his bass...
