They are already shutting down wind turbines here in the states erected in past 10 years because the companies are going bankrupt and they simply are not profitable without huge government subsidies. Water power very efficient and cost effective. Wind and Solar not so much. How long will it take a wind turbine to pay for itself? 6 to 15 years or in this case Green Cameron's wind turbine that will take 40 years to pay for itself.

Foamy T. Squirrel
I'll be gone a lot this summer. It's usually over 100F here. But, if I drive up the big hill, within an hour I can play in the snow. There, I can drink hot toddies to stay warm, and when I go back home, I'll be drinking margaritas... That's my strategy for dealing with Human-Created Global Warming. I suggest everybody do the same thing and increase the value of my liquor industry portfolio. TIA.

Only 68F here in Southern Ontario, Canada. Our Illustrious Liberal Party just declared a Climate Emergency trying to Brainwash Canadians that the Earth is Warming at Double the Speed than what was predicted which is a Crock of Shit. All their trying to do is suck more Tax Dollars out of everyone's pocket plain and simple. I'll be glad when these Cocksucking Liberals in Canada are Decimated October 21st. Time for Canada to put these Fucking Liberals to Sleep once and for all.
TBG 150
Ready Rodent? "Yeah, but it's a dry heat!" I heard enough of that horse hockey. Heat is heat and 100F is 100F. The difference is, add 80% humidity to it and rain every afternoon. C'mon over. We grab a Margarita, a few Senorita's, a nice cigar, (okay, keep the ceeegar) a little special rolled blend and head to the beach in the convertible.

Thestarider
14,000 Abandoned Wind Turbines Litter the United States California had the “big three” of wind farm locations — Altamont Pass, Tehachapi, and San Gorgonio, considered the world’s best wind sites. California’s wind farms, almost 80% of the world’s wind generation capacity ceased to generate even more quickly than Kamaoa Wind Farm in Hawaii. There are five other abandoned wind farms in Hawaii. When they are abandoned, getting the turbines removed is a major problem. They are highly unsightly, and they are huge, and that’s a lot of material to get rid of. President Obama’s offshore wind farms will be far more expensive than those sited in California’s ideal wind locations. Salt water is far more damaging than sun and rain, and offshore turbines don’t last as long. But nice tax scams for his crony-capitalist backers will work well as long as he can blame it all on saving the planet.
