Pt Claire is his now. He has no idea what’s in store for him. “I stand relieved sir” with another crisp salute from LT Don. He looks so different today but then again after 17 months, 4 days and a bunch of hours in this place all nine of us look different. Donna won’t even recognize me when she meets me in Tokyo on Thursday. How many times have I wondered whether this day would ever come? That’s an easy one, every single one of those 509 days since we pulled into this God forsaken hole. But it did come and before the sun sets tonight we’ll all be winging our way to Tokyo. Every swinging dick of us except for Bailey who went home in a wooden box back in October. Two days till Donna hits Tokyo, then 6 days after that we fly to Honolulu for 13 days and then 8 more days leave once we get to Mobile. Donna says Mobile is really nice and the pictures she sent me of the apartment we’ve been assigned to in base housing don’t look half bad. Like I really care after the living conditions here. At least nobody will be trying to blow my sorry ass out of the water on my way home from work every day. I can deal with that. So long Nam. I wish I could say I’m gonna miss you but I’m not. I have every confidence that Sera will come around. She isn't just going to magically explode into a sex addict overnight but you have to admit she has already made considerable progress with the help of her friend. Mila is the one person who can bring her out but they can't be together 24/7 and even when they have been together lately it hasn't been alone. Think what you want, call her what you want (hiding behind ******). She will show us all. Finishing my book last night when I was beginning to think I might not live long enough to do it has me on top of the world right now and proves to me again that anything is possible. That says to me that in the entire realm of RLC Sera alone is making you leave and booting Sera is by itself enough to make you stay.
