Didn't UK and Netherlands used the same "immunity" tactic?

whith what i heard the UK wanted to do this first but seems Johnson changed his mind and take the same road of the other countries

the netherlands taking the road of the collective immunity tactic but there will have alot of deaths with the most fragile people with this tactic it's a dangerous tactic

Yes.. but only in the middle of this week.. Friends i have there told me that only this friday their kids schools get closed. Guess the escalating of the numbers made them changed their tactics

they react too slowly in my opinion, if they have closed the schools the bars the restaurants now it's time to enter in total containment and not waiting like this, they have their asses between two chairs

Totally agree.. seems they was waiting to see what would happen forgetting the "silence of the virus" It could also be related with the aerial bridge between us-uk

what is the situation in portugal? have they closed the schools etc.. a containment soon ?

Whatever any one does there will always be ones who think they know better. Many think closing schools is the best thing, maybe but then you have all the kids running everywhere possibly making it worse. Whether it be the right action or not others will always try to find fault. Schools are closed in europe but the figures are still going sky high. Until there is a proven vaccine it will just continue to get worse I fear.

Seems the USA will soon take "first place"... Very bad.

I would not be surprised to see the numbers rise into the millions for the US. Also the UK has still not enforced any kind of lockdown because the PM is too scared to make any decisions, would not be surprised if the infected there is about a half a million in the next two weeks. What fools.

Is that your uneducated idle speculation or your wishful thinking?

Purely idle specualtion based on scenes like this today at a UK supermarket. One doesn't need to be an infectious disease expert to understand that the virus is spread through close human interaction and seeing people in the UK and the US still herding to get their pasta and toilet rolls leads to a very obvious conclusion.

Some shoppers were queuing from 5am amid concerns over further panic buying.

What is surprising according to the following website  https://www.worldometers.info/coronavirus/ is the the total of cases to date per 1 million population as follows..............

Total cases per 1million population
Italy.........................978
Switzerland............864
Spain.....................612
Germany...............297
France..................245
Netherlands..........245
Porugal.................157
UK.........................84

Which i am surprised considering we have a 65 million pop. on this tiny island. Having said that it's still early days and no doubt it will rise.

So we are doing something right unless we are being very lucky so far?
