Foamy T. Squirrel
The Saxophone is quite simply the best musical instrument. It can almost replicate the human voice and just oozes soul and can melt even the hardest heart. The sax and the trombone are the only standard orchestral instruments that can cry and laugh. Foamy T. Squirrel
It's in the closet. Haven't played it in years. But yes, trombone players are a sort of brotherhood. We're rare.
Foamy T. Squirrel
Regarding Nora, Leora, and Diana. Kitten's already stuck here. Kitten needs some girlfriends. :P
Foamy T. Squirrel
Don't wanna see this thread die; it's CC's most universal thread (besides tits and ass). Even the French understand it. So, as they say in /b, I'll just leave this beer here...
van the man
Their best song is 'Wouldn't it be Nice'. The words perfectly sum up how first love feels like and the longing to grow up and get a place of their own. Just brilliant.
Foamy T. Squirrel
@Van: you mean this one: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZVlVmv0K-pk They were just a local band where and when I grew up. Next, just to show Kitten that I'm not that old, I might post another local California Band unless someone complains.
Foamy T. Squirrel
OK, even Nick didn't complain. So I'll post this masterpiece for your edification and amusement. Just keep in mind that the Europe '72 album was without doubt the best live recording done up to that time, but technologically and artistically. The engineering was far better than this video. Even if you're not a fan, you need this album in your collection.
woodworker
The late, great, Fred Neil Sometimes it's hard to sleep when you've got a secret to keep.
Foamy T. Squirrel
Sometimes it's hard to sleep when you've got a secret to keep. Thanks, Woody. Sometimes it's hard to sleep when you think you're the only one posting in this category. I knew an older gentleman once. He had been a professional whistler in the old days. He did studio work. Your post reminded me of his talents. He had retired from the profession, but he still whistled when he worked, and he was damn good at it. TBG 150
I never had a problem with that. If more persons than you knows, it's not a secret. Any more need to be eliminated or never enlightened in the first place. I sleep very well.
Foamy T. Squirrel
@tbg: you're the keyboard master. How about you drop in a quarter and post some massive organ masterpieces that you think are awesome. I'll give you a -1 if you can do that for us... :)
