Last weekend in Chicago 85 people were shot and 24 killed. Why no protests over that?

What the hell was that about then? I don't think we rack that up in a year

Good question. I suspect they are but there are but you just don't hear about them because they're peaceful. If you're American and care about your country and you're not protesting over it, then you should be asking yourself that same question. Why are you not protesting over that?

Hi Sierra. There's a lot of people I like to shut down on twitter because I think they lie and are assholes. But if we start shutting people down because we don't like what they say, that would be the end of our country. And who would be the arbiter of what is a lie, and who us lieing?

Hi Ashley, if those people you are talking about is the POTUS or are people who would be heard by many and believed by many, then the social accounts of these people should be suspended temporarily too until the situation calms down. Please note I did not say we should shut Trump's account permanently, but temporarily so that his lies could be stemmed on Twitter until everyone calm down. Of cos he can still continue to spread his lies and bigotry elsewhere, but at least no longer on Twitter which has many users.

I believe Trump should not be behaving like a random dude on the streets with his comments on Twitter and more like a President of United States who is accountable to the nation as a whole and therefore should be more careful and less misleading with his public opinions. If Twitter could suspend his account, I believe they would have already done so.

Do you really not understand the difference or do you just ignore it because the protests do not fit into your political world view?

The police should protect the people no matter what skin color. The alleged murder of George Floyd is only one of many extreme cases. Underneath this extrem cases, there are many smaller, often unseen injustices that can be traced back to racism.

It is a systematic problem, one that must be solved by politics.

Yes, I understand much better than you do. if it is to be solved by politics why has it not been solved? Almost everyone of the cities where these police brutality events take place have been run by liberal progressive Democrats for 50 years or more.  In many of those cities the mayors, city council members and police chiefs are Black.

I wish you were here right now. I would take you to St.Louis, MO. I would drop you off in North St.Louis and allow you to walk around the streets for a day, so that you can see what the police deal with everyday.  When I come back to pick you up I hope you are still alive.

Becoming more like a 3rd world country by the day. Terrible.
