Sounds reasonable to me. I've often thought something like the paragraph above wound not only be a good idea, but a necessity on a forum.

I've lost the three line notification icon on my other tablet.It's been ok for a week or so but it's gone again.

Go to the bottom of the page and select them and then change it.  That will likely take care of the problem.

That will likely happen every time you clear your devices cache. Once the cache is cleared there's nothing telling the device the Websites position.
