Ukrainian citizens who have biometric passports will be able to enter all EU member states other than Ireland and the United Kingdom without a visa for up to 90 days during any 180-day period. It also applies to four Schengen Area countries that are not in the EU: Norway, Iceland, Liechtenstein, and Switzerland. They no longer need a Passport but they can still only stay 90 Days out of a 180 Day Period. Almost the same rules but no Visa is needed.

Pretty sure they still need a passport. 1

One of the reasons for dropping the visa-requirement for Ukrainian citizens is that very few of the people that applied for a visa were declined, around 2 or 3% if I remember correct.
