I wouldn't trade growing up in the 60's for anything. As a matter of fact, I should have grown up in the 50's like my sister did. She lived in one of the best times as a teen/young adult.

Back then, just kissing a girl was the best. Now you have porn thrown in your face that hasn't even been invented yet. The fun in growing up is gone.

I often look back at those times and think myself lucky I was there, as you say a great period what with the hippies and flower power, rock & roll lol brilliant times. I wouldn't say it was just kissing I think we had our little fumbles too 😁👍

Have to agree pal,but what I liked was the rebellious side too it all.Fuck the short back and sides haircuts,my mum had a fit the first time I didn't come from the barbers with a baldy, cheap imported fashionable shoes instead of the sturdy monstrosities we usually were forced to wear, tight jeans shock horror. Then of course the music changed,Beatles,Stones,Kinks, etc, etc. The poor parents were tearing their hair out but just had to accept that,to quote Bob Dylan"times they are a changin".But through it all regardless of the fall outs with parents(hormones to blame)I never stopped respecting my parents, siblings, extended family or anyone for that matter,I rebelled in a proper manner. As for the fumbles Rob mentioned well speaking for myself there were more disasters than successes before I finally grasped how the female anatomy worked let's put it that way. However I lived to tell the tale and never hurt anyone,in fact Margaret and I are still friends with the one girl who"showed me what to do" way back then and we still joke about it to this day.Just thought I would share that.

Here is the Headline :

Venice is underwater — and a preview of what climate change will bring to coastal cities

Here is the truth in the same article buried behind the climate change bullshit. :

The bigger issue: Venice is sinking. Friday’s floods are due to another storm in a similar position southwest of Italy, with winds blowing from the southeast to northwest across the Adriatic, piling water toward Venice. Coming atop astronomical high tides and long-term subsidence it’s becoming easier to flood the city to severely damaging levels.

“Venice is the pride of all of Italy,” Brugnaro said in a statement, the Associated Press reported, as officials said the city was 70 percent submerged.

I don't know and maybe it is just me, but why in the hell would you live a place that is already 70% underwater in the first place.

Same reason New Orleans, is full of Liberals. It may be an easy way to get rid of them and all of their whining.

If you're really interested in the history of Venice, here's a really short summary of its beginnings. The typical basic knowledge for the tourists. 😀

Climate change has a statistical impact. Individual events cannot be categorised, but an increase in extreme events can be observed. The problem in Venice, however, is the corruption in the creation of a flood protection system.

The Netherlands impressively prove how to do it right.

I have no understanding to ignore scientifically proven facts politically. It do not matter in which media bubble you are, facts remain facts, even if they may not please you politically.

If you do a little bit of research you'll understand that Florida was underwater & the fact that an asteroid hit earth & earth went thur a period of an ICE Age & slowly but surely the earth is warming up again like it was.

Here's the problem.  It may be a fact scientifically that the earth is warming, however slightly, but the left is trying to use and twist the facts that it is all man made  or that only man can stop

climate or global warming  in order to create yet another crisis to further their agenda.

First of all, it's important to be precise. The consensus of science refers not only to climate change, but also that humans are causing it.

The next one is that this should not be a problem between left and right. It is up to all of us to preserve the world for our children and their children.

It's all a Hoax to get Billions of Tax Dollars.   Governments don't know shit about Climate. If you lie to the Government you go to Jail or Prison. When your Government Lies to You it's Politics and they get away with it.  The Government Ponzi Scheme has been going on for Century's and the Sheeple keep believing in all this BS.   Spend Billions today and in 20 years all that gets spent won't make a fucking bit of difference.  So David Suzuki, Al Gore and Greta Thunberg can all go Fuck Themselves.

Scientists need to go back to class and start with the Petri Dish and the Bunts & Burner apparatus and begin from square one. Maybe they'll get it right the second time around.   The Temperatures are still the same today as they were 30 years ago.
