The chaos created by massive mail-in voting will be a disaster for America and the American people. The election will be determined by lawyers, judges, and courts and not by the will of the U.S. citizens.

It is more than enough time to count the votes and there is no reason to doubt the result.

The danger is high that Trump will try to steal the election by claiming victory ahead of all votes are considered.

I just hope, whoever wins this election they accept the result and move on. I am afraid this could be a very volatile moment for the United States, and if they are not careful it could lead to civil unrest or even worse.

With all of Trump's attempts to discredit the election, it becomes more and more obvious that he will try to steal it.

This election will probably be the biggest test of democracy in the USA in modern times.

Many states are not set up to handle a large volume of mail-in votes. The primary elections in New York have already displayed major problems with mail-in voting. If anyone tries to steal the election it will be Joe Biden and his cadre of 600+ election lawyers, just like Hillary Clinton tried to do in 2016. Why do you think Hillary has told Biden to never concede?

According to the BBC

Trump spoke - surprisingly perhaps - less than Biden, with around 38 minutes, compared to 43 minutes taken up by the former vice-president. Extra time was added due to interruptions.

When it comes to interruptions, however, the president cut in some 73 times. (In 2016, the fact that Trump interrupted then-rival Hillary Clinton 37 times at one debate raised eyebrows - but that was then, this is now.)

Trump also got the lion's share of follow-ups from Wallace, with 15 compared to Biden's four, and had 14 rebuttals to Biden's nine.

Wallace also pointed out to the President that he had agreed, indeed they both had, that there would be no interruptions when the other person was speaking

I have to agree that this debate was nothing more than an attack on each other--much like these political threads in Camcaps.  President Trump did however show the American public his thorough knowledge of perpetuo interpellandi. 😏

I can't pretend that I follow US politics, but I wonder if, when these 2 have time to reflect, either will feel in any way embarrassed by their ridiculous childish behaviour. I've never liked Trump as a person...he's a nasty piece of work, no doubt surrounded by a good team of people to run your country. So I doubt he'll be embarrassed, because he was just acting Trump like...As far as Biden's concerned, I don't really know him....so it's hard to comment.
What I have noticed on this forum is once a Trump supporter, always a Trump supporter...but maybe he just hasn't any decent competition...Perhaps they should just elected the winner of a fight behind the bike shed...

I'm just pleased we have a solid leader and government here in the UK...😏

so at this point whoever wins the election the other party is going to cast doubt on the result. that's not a good thing for democracy.

Based on the first debate, if both candidates were conservative, I would vote for Biden.  But since that is not the case, I cannot bring myself to

vote for a Democrat heading up a left leaning party who wants to fundamentally change America to a socialist economy.

This  debate reminds me so much in watching episodes of the British Parliament "discussing" issues--a veritable shouting match 😏

And here I thought we broke away from England's influence centuries ago 😏

IMO President Trump could be digging his own grave, so to speak, complaining about the potential fraud with the mail in ballots.  If we wins --is he still going to

insist the vote was fraudulent and not all ballots were properly counted ???? 😏
