The other is an either or situation. I am wondering if he is on the autism spectrum. A lot of people on the spectrum have trouble with social signals, could be why he keeps trying and getting rebuffed. Like he did in B! and tonight at the get together. Also, after they got fined he threw that little temper tantrum with slapping the couch next to Monica's head and then grabbing Carla's phone and then the wine bottle from her.
