What are the tri-pods I see in various rooms with the circular ring/loop and what appears to be a phone or camera in the middle. I assume this is some sort of camera. What is the purpose of the ring? More importantly, if this camera is recording, where does one go to see what that stream looks like? Thanks in advance for yet another newbie question.

It's an led ring light for better lighting in photos and videos, widely used nowadays by influencers/ content creators to produce content for youtube, IG, etc. 😉
