When she was age 8, she fell while standing on a potato cart at her family farm in Krasnodar when her friend, Klavdya shouted and scared the horse pulling the cart. Poor Masha fell on a shovel and the resulting injury was a deep laceration which required 42 stitches. Luckily the injury was superficial and there was no spinal damage.
