Can someone explain to me why during all past epidemics, the exposed and sickly were quarantined instead of all the healthy people?

What's more scary to parents and more dangerous to a school kid: When school started in the 1950's before polio vaccine, or now with Covid? Should they have closed schools? Even measles was deadly at one time, and they didn't close the schools.

Or is there another reason the schooling and the economy for the young and healthy must die? Something is fishy here, like Asian tilapia fish farms loaded with lead and mercury. Hummm.

As I had said to my Mother one time a few Months back they're just trying to kill off all of us Old Farts so they can have a few years of Savings to build the Pension Funds back up that they wasted on other sources besides the purpose it was intended for.  That's why Seniors today who worked all their lives got shit on when it came time to collect. Got a hell of a lot less than what hey should have gotten.

I'm glad I took my Canada Pension early at age 60 instead of 65.  By the time I get to be 65 the Canada Pension Fund will be Bust. Pay into something for 32 Years and all they give me is  $245 a Month. I would have to live till I am 95 just to get back what I paid into the thing if it's still operating at such time.   I figure another 5 or 10 years you won't hear anything of Old Age Pension Retirement Benefits it will all be changed to Universal Basic Income. Each Retiree will get $24,000 Annually or $2,000 a Month.  Then if one gets stuck in an Old Folks Home to live until their last breath, they'll take it all away. Everyone will be Penniless when they die.

The US has now surpassed six million cases of Covid-19 - almost a quarter of the world's total, according to America's Johns Hopkins University.

It said the country added one million new infections in less than a month. More than 183,000 people have now died.

A new Centers for Disease Control report shows 94% of people who died from COVID-19 in the U.S. had contributing health conditions.

Reality check: While the cause of death listed as solely from the coronavirus occurred in 6% of cases in the U.S. from Feb. 1 to Aug. 22, this doesn't mean that the virus was not a contributing factor or, indeed, the leading cause in the other 94%. The U.S. virus death toll would be much lower if this were the case.

  • It's well established that people with underlying medical conditions are at increased risk of severe illness from COVID-19.
  • "People can live with obesity, diabetes or heart disease for years but then get infected with COVID-19 and die quickly," CNN points out.

For the record: For deaths with conditions or causes as well as COVID-19, on average, there were 2.6 additional conditions or causes per death, according to the CDC.

  • The CDC reports the leading underlying medical conditions related to coronavirus deaths were:
  • Influenza and pneumonia.
  • Respiratory failure.
  • Hypertensive disease.
  • Diabetes.
  • Vascular and unspecified dementia.
  • Cardiac arrest.
  • Heart failure.
  • Renal failure.
  • Intentional and unintentional injury, poisoning and other adverse events.
  • Other medical conditions.

By the numbers: In the U.S., more than 183,000 deaths have been attributed to the coronavirus as of Sunday night, per Johns Hopkins data.

  • Almost 6 million have tested positive and over 2.2 million have recovered.

Nationally, the number of new cases fell 2% last week, the sixth straight week of declines, but the number of new infections still averages more than 41,000 a day.

Last week's total of U.S. COVID-19 deaths was down 7% from the previous week and averaged 900 deaths a day.

The United States tested on average 715,000 people a day last week, up from 685,000 people a day the prior week, but down from a peak in late July of over 800,000 people a day.

Nationally, the share of all tests that came back positive for the new virus fell for a fourth week in a row to 5.8%, down from 6.3% the prior week and below a peak of nearly 9% in mid-July, according to data from The COVID Tracking Project, a volunteer-run effort to track the outbreak.

It sounds like you're saying these people would have lived years longer
had they not been infected with COVID-19, a virus that could have and
should have been much more highly mitigated in this country. Had the
psychopath responded as he should have and as any normal leader
would have, the vast majority of these deaths could have been prevented.

Here’s a jarring thought experiment: If the United States had done merely an average job of fighting the coronavirus — if the U.S. accounted for the same share of virus deaths as it did global population — how many fewer Americans would have died?

The answer: about 145,000.

That’s a large majority of the country’s 183,000 confirmed coronavirus-related deaths.

No other country looks as bad by this measure. The U.S. accounts for 4 percent of the world’s population, and for 22 percent of confirmed Covid-19 deaths. It is one of the many signs that the Trump administration has done a poorer job of controlling the virus than dozens of other governments around the world.

COVID-19: There have been approximately 851,099 deaths reported worldwide. In the U.S, 183,602 people have died of COVID-19, as of September 1, 2020.*

Flu: The World Health Organization estimates that 290,000 to 650,000 people die of flu-related causes every year worldwide.

What if about half of these cases around the world were miss diagnosed and it just were severe cases of the flu or many other medical issues.

We already know that the current tests are at best 80% effective in the US at best.

Look, my friend. I'm just a Foamy the Squirrel, but I listen to science. And so does my beloved Nancy. She told me that. Therefore, it is now perfectly safe to get your tail fluffed. Although there are some tyrannical leaders that need to have their ass kicked, and they all learned their tricks from the 3rd ComIntern.

OPEN UP THE FUCKING STATE!

I'd rather die of Covid that die in a world where my children had no hope to improve their lives or experience the glories of their individual liberty. The purpose of an economic shutdown, in which HEALTHY YOUNG PEOPLE are quarantined, was originally so that hospitals weren't overwhelmed like they were in Italy. So now we've moved the goal post to NO new cases are allowed?

That's all for now. High blood pressure is a co-morbidity issue, and I'd hate to see any of my beloved and elite CC members get too worked up about such things. The world has been extremely fucked up by militant socialists before; my state is controlled by cartel and union contributions to the officials; and all the mom-and-pop businesses will be destroyed. They simply don't make enough profit to afford the necessary campaign contributions.

Nothing new to see here. Move along and keep your sense of humor.

This thread is more poisonous than any virus.  The misinformation, propaganda and outright lies are astonishing.

I'm glad I don't fall for it.

I'm glad I'm not easily conned.

I'm glad I'm not angry.

I'm proud to be a democrat.

And now, your beloved Nancy, wants the salon to apologize to her for the 'set-up' visit. She is claiming they set her up for photo bombing in which she was given an appointment to get her mop chopped and her tail fluffed, only to have the salon turn it into an opportunity to get photos of her violating the states lockdown order. Now dear, sweet, Nazi Pelosi is pleading ignorant to the order.

Typical Demoncrat, do as I say peasant, not as I do.

Anyone who is a Democrat has been conned their whole life. That's the only way Democrats can get people to vote for them.

I thought Dr.Fauci said because of Covid-19 we should not shake hands. I just saw Joe Biden get off a plane in Kenosha, WI, and the first thing he did was shake hands with some official.   I guess Covid-19 rules don't apply to Joe Biden and Nancy Pelosi. Maybe it's because they are so young that they don't think the virus will affect them.
